ChatGPT launched three years ago today

A little bit of "Consumer Regulated Electricity" (CRE) history: ChatGPT launched on November 22, 2022 and shortly after we started thinking about how the U.S.' relatively slow moving and highly political electricity sector could accommodate a fast moving and rapidly growing data center/AI sector. After considering many alternatives, the big epiphany was that the electricity sector won't be able to accommodate the rapid growth. The two sectors operate on fundamentally different timelines and that can't be changed anytime soon. So how does one get faster development of electricity or for that matter, faster development of anything? Increase the amount of economic freedom and let entrepreneurs go to work. That's what CRE is about, giving entrepreneurs the freedom to go to work on the problem. It's a very American way to solve problems.
