Tracked changes: An Entergy exec ghostwrote Louisiana PSC motions supporting Meta, Hyundai

Many will rail against the ethics of this story but I need to offer a different take. This story indirectly hits on two truths that aren’t properly appreciated by most:

  1. Regulators are not and can never be a substitute for competition.

  2. Utilities are the masters of regulatory processes, exceeding the capability of the regulators themselves.

There is no subtitute for a free and open market to drive down costs, improve reliability, and bring forth new innovations. Yet we’ve denied ourselves that in electricity for one hundred years. CRE can help restore some of those long-lost qualities.
