US data center demand raising power risks this winter, regulator says

"The swift proliferation of data centers in the U.S., along with the electrification of buildings and transportation, is driving up electricity use across the country faster than new power supplies are added to the grid." If the traditional ways of getting new power supplies are creating risks in winter, common sense says the time has come to allow new parties to try new things. That's why "Consumer Regulated Electricity" (CRE) makes so much sense. CRE would enable that by allowing the creation of new, independent, large-scale, and competitive utilities.
