We have a better alternative to a data center moratorium
“…before New Hampshire closes the door on [a data center] investment, we should ask another question: Could the developer provide its own power under HB 672?
Gov. Ayotte should build on the law she signed rather than pursue a moratorium. Her administration should actively promote HB 672 to data centers and large electricity users that are prepared to meet their own energy needs without shifting costs to existing customers.
New Hampshire does not have to choose between protecting ratepayers and attracting new investment. The state already passed a law that gives us another option. Let’s use it.”
