OpenAI asked US to approve energy-guzzling 5GW data centers, report says
Is today's electricity sector capable of adding in 5GW data centers? I don't see it. The only path forward is "Consumer Regulated Electricity" or CRE. CRE would allow for the creation of new utilities (CRE utilities) that could deliver supplies faster, innovate rapidly, and focus on their customers more than their state regulators. What the AI industry is doing for computing, CRE would do for electricity!
