Quotation of the Day…

Why do RTOs struggle? Why is a country with a single grid going to continue having problems? Here’s one reason: “The more complex the division of labor, the costlier it becomes to coordinate through a central mode. It becomes increasingly difficult for the center to monitor the behavior of the participants, and more importantly, it becomes increasingly costly for the center to possess all (or even enough of) the local knowledge of the participants.”
This is why we advocate for “Consumer Regulated Electricity” or CRE. By allowing the creation of new, independent, competitive, and large-scale utilities and grids we can stop making the few grids increasingly complex, costly, and difficult to manage. Conversely, the new “CRE Utilities” will be easier to manage, more nimble, and more innovative than anything possible within today’s electricity sector.
