Risk of AI-driven, overbuilt infrastructure is real

Of course the risk of over-building is real and so is the risk of under-building. That's the nature of the future: it's unpredictable. Rather than burdening existing ratepayers with that risk, state policymakers should open the door to private investors who can take on that risk. If states allowed investors to build new, independent, competitive, and large-scale utilities and grids, these new utilities and grids would be able to move much faster and be far more innovative than the current sector. The speed and innovation will attract some of the new large data centers thereby reducing the risk of over-building the existing utilities and grids. This is what we call "Consumer Regulated Electricity" or CRE. Contact us to learn more about CRE and follow us right here on LinkedIn.
